Application statuses and transaction limits
An application is a payment service or subaccount owned by your MeSomb account. Its status is separate from transaction status and from your account trust level.
Credit and debit
Credit means money entering your application balance, such as a customer payment. Debit means money leaving that balance, such as a withdrawal, payout, bank transfer, or bill payment funded from the application.
Credit and debit have separate daily and monthly account allowances. Collecting a payment uses credit allowance; withdrawing its proceeds uses debit allowance. A positive balance does not guarantee that a withdrawal is permitted.
Application status permissions
The table describes the current default application policy. Amounts are configured debit thresholds; confirm the applicable currency and any account-specific policy with MeSomb support.
| Status | Collections (credit) | Withdrawals and payouts (debit) | Monthly application debit cap |
|---|---|---|---|
SETUP | Allowed within account limits | Allowed if the owner's account is eligible | 10,000 |
LIMITED | Allowed within account limits | Allowed if the owner's account is eligible | 50,000 |
LIVE | Allowed within account limits | Allowed if the owner's account is eligible | No additional status-based cap |
REVIEW | Allowed within account limits | Allowed if the owner's account is eligible | 10,000 |
RESTRICTED | Allowed within account limits | Blocked | Not available |
SUSPENDED | Blocked | Blocked | Not available |
The default policy has no additional application monthly credit cap for SETUP, LIMITED, LIVE, REVIEW, or RESTRICTED. Account credit limits still apply. There is no separate status-based daily application cap.
Daily versus monthly application limits
| Scope | Daily credit | Daily debit | Monthly credit | Monthly debit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner's account | Trust-level allowance shared by owned applications | Trust-level allowance shared by owned applications | Trust-level allowance shared by owned applications | Trust-level allowance shared by owned applications |
| Individual application | No additional daily cap; credit permission still applies | No additional daily cap; debit permission still applies | Account allowance plus status permission | Account allowance plus the status cap shown above |
For example, two applications owned by a Basic Verified account share its default daily credit allowance of 100,000. If one collects 70,000, the other does not have another 100,000 available. Both also remain subject to monthly limits and fees. See the complete trust-level allowance table.
LIVE still requires sufficient balance, verification, account allowances, security checks, and provider availability. REVIEW retains a small debit allowance; RESTRICTED blocks debits entirely.
Account and application limits apply together
Daily and monthly account allowances depend on the owner's trust level and are shared across all applications they own. Creating another application does not create another account allowance. Application monthly caps apply individually.
Every transaction must fit within both its applicable daily and monthly account allowances and its application's permissions and cap. The most restrictive applicable rule determines whether it can proceed.
For example, an application with a 50,000 monthly debit cap cannot withdraw 40,000 if the owner's remaining account debit allowance is only 30,000. A RESTRICTED application cannot withdraw any amount, even if the account allowance is higher.
Allow room for fees: account checks include the transaction amount plus fees. An illustrative remaining allowance of 50,000 cannot cover a debit of 50,000 plus a fee of 500.
Period boundaries use the service's configured timezone, currently UTC. A new day does not remove a monthly restriction. If usage or an expected reset does not match a rejection, contact support to confirm the allowance before retrying. Displayed balance is not a remaining-limit counter, and processing activity can affect limit checks.
Verification, investigation, and suspension
The owner's account must be verified and usable, debit operations must be enabled, and the account must not be under investigation. Available funds must cover the operation and fees.
A fraud alert can restrict an application and place its owner under investigation. That investigation can also block debits on other applications owned by the same account. Suspending an account through the admin suspension action suspends its applications. Follow the reason in your notification and contact support to resolve the review.
Rejection messages and next steps
| Error code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
daily-limit-reached | The account's daily allowance would be exceeded | Check the direction and account allowance; contact support if usage appears incorrect. |
monthly-limit-reached | An account or application monthly allowance would be exceeded | Confirm which cap applies before retrying. |
credit-not-allowed | The application cannot receive payments | Check its status and contact support. |
debit-not-allowed | The application cannot send money | Check for restriction or suspension. |
application-not-activated | The application is suspended or closed for processing | Contact support about reactivation. |
account-not-verified | Withdrawal verification requirements are not met | Complete verification. |
account-debit-not-allowed | Debit eligibility checks failed | Check account eligibility and investigation notices with support. |
insufficient-funds | Available funds cannot cover the operation | Check balance and fees. |
If a transaction has already been submitted, check its status before retrying. A pending transaction is not a confirmed failure. When contacting support, include the application, transaction reference, amount, currency, and error code.
Application-count extensions
New accounts have a default creation limit of two applications; your assigned limit may differ. Non-deleted applications count toward this limit, including restricted and suspended applications.
You can request an application-count extension for review, with one pending request at a time. MeSomb notifies you of the outcome and the rejection reason when applicable. Approval changes how many applications you can create. It does not increase transaction allowances or lift restrictions.
For higher transaction allowances, complete outstanding verification and contact support about your trust level.
