SecurePay for buyers

SecurePay helps buyers pay with more confidence when purchasing from a merchant, seller, or platform.

When you pay with SecurePay, your payment is linked to a specific transaction and may be held until the delivery or service is confirmed.

How SecurePay protects buyers

SecurePay helps buyers by:

  • linking the payment to a clear order or transaction;
  • holding the funds until the transaction reaches the confirmation stage;
  • allowing delivery confirmation;
  • allowing a dispute to be opened if there is a serious problem;
  • keeping a structured record of the transaction.

Before paying

Before completing a SecurePay payment, review:

  • merchant name;
  • product or service description;
  • amount;
  • currency;
  • delivery terms;
  • refund or dispute conditions;
  • contact details;
  • transaction reference.

Do not pay if the transaction details are unclear or do not match what you agreed with the merchant.

After payment

After successful payment:

  • your transaction becomes funded;
  • the merchant is notified;
  • the merchant should prepare and deliver the product or service;
  • the funds remain held according to the SecurePay rules.

Keep your payment confirmation and transaction reference.

Confirming delivery

Confirm delivery only when you have received the correct product or service.

Do not confirm delivery if:

  • the product was not received;
  • the product is significantly different from what was agreed;
  • the product is damaged;
  • the service was not completed;
  • the merchant asks you to confirm before delivery.

Once you confirm delivery, the funds may be released to the merchant.

Opening a dispute

If there is a serious issue, you may be able to open a dispute before the funds are released.

Common reasons for disputes:

  • product not received;
  • wrong product received;
  • damaged product;
  • incomplete service;
  • seller cannot be reached;
  • delivery terms not respected.

When opening a dispute, provide clear information and evidence.

Useful evidence may include:

  • screenshots of the conversation;
  • product photos;
  • delivery messages;
  • receipt or invoice or transaction SMS;
  • tracking information;
  • any proof showing the issue.

Refunds

A refund may be issued when:

  • the merchant accepts the refund;
  • the transaction is cancelled;
  • the product or service cannot be delivered;
  • the dispute is resolved in your favor;
  • the SecurePay rules require a refund.

Refund timing may depend on the payment method and the transaction review process.

  • keep communication with the merchant;
